I read a lot of blogs about Marrakech before I went and I was really looking forward to it and it seemed to be safe for women.
Unfortunately, this was not my experience. I did 5 nights in Marrakech with another female and from passport control once we landed, through to the end of the holiday, I have never felt more unsafe. We had a terrifying experience with a yellow taxi going into the Medina on the first night at 7pm. Its just not safe to take these taxis, they are are trying to scam you and drop you at the wrong location.
I was groped by a male walking along the street near Jardin Majorelle, despite wearing long baggy clothes and showing none of my body.
The airport is a wild experience at passport control either side. They keep everyone there for so long pretending to be looking something up, when we could see they were just clicking in the one screen, they ask completely unnecessary questions and have a clear detain for women.
Honestly, I wouldn't recommend Marrakech especially if your female.

Cannot find the right area, to advise you that in your description of the Riad Sapphire, superior Suite, you state it has a patio.
No rooms have patios, so could be a disappointment if travellers were expecting this.
We excepted it was a mistake.

Marrakech is a very interesting and unique city.
Marrakech is a very interesting and unique city. And it is really worth going there and seeing the city. However, it must be taken into account that the huge number of motorcycles and scooters in the old town causes a lot of air pollution, sometimes the smell of gasoline is quite terrible. Also, be sure to pay attention to the water you drink. I would not recommend drinking water from the tap in the hotel, but only use water bottles bought in the store.
I would definitely advise travelers to Morocco not to plan more than 2-3 days to see Marrakech directly. It is quite enough for the city. And if you are thinking of seeing Morocco, be sure to plan something else - trips outside the city.

for Medina :
for Medina :
To eat - ""Snack La Place"" , its in the marked , best quality /price.
Tours - https://www.clickexcursions.com/ - can be booked on tripadvisor or getyourguide, but on their webside ar more cheaper.
Transportation - App "InDrive"" , is like Uber , with fair prices. ( 4 euro from Medina to Airport). Because the app is not legal , the driver will contact you on whatsup and give you a place to meet.
Tip: If u visit Essouira , avoid fish sellers who cook the fish for you. The fish is not allways fresh and the prices ar high.
For Revolut users, you'll find Al Barid Bank ATm - no fees.

What a truly amazing city.
What a truly amazing city. It's busy its bustling but it's safe, clean and friendly.
On day one a friendly local could tell we didn't know the city and directed us to the centre, on the way another showed us where to walk and gave us some local words to use (thank you in arabic).
Yes the shop owners can be pushy but if you say no thankyou they accept it and go to the next passing tourist. If you say you just want to look they let you.
The restaurants are amazing, £50 for a posh meal for 2 with drinks (alcohol easily available) but the best food is actually the £10 meals were just as good if not better.
I think its the perfect place for a holiday and would go again tomorrow.

Marrakech is an incredible city with so much to see & do.
Marrakech is an incredible city with so much to see & do. The Medina is amazing & the people are very friendly & helpful. We stayed in a great Riad (Azia) in a peaceful location with a good local restaurant, boulangerie & shops. The staff were fantastic & couldn't have made us more welcome. We will definitely be visiting again.
without doubt the most breathtakingly beautiful hotel I’ve ever stayed. all of the facilities are 5 star. we booked the most basic room and even that was just pure luxury so I imagine the other rooms are even more amazing. the pool area is incredible, the pictures don’t do it justice. the staff were all so attentive and nothing was a problem. we loved it so much, just wish we could have stayed for longer! the area where the hotel in is so peaceful and quiet, with just the sound of bird song and cicadas. bliss.
Probably one of the best welcome we’ve had so far in Morocco. We sat with the two guys and talked a lot about our trip, as well as where we should and shouldn’t go in Marrakesh. Rooms are big, clean and the look is just wow. The whole property is brand new and we can feel it. Even though it is a new riad (just opened a month ago), we couldn’t guess it. AC was running well, breakfast was tasty, terasse is nicely decorated (and they’re looking forward to improve it). Everything is simply perfect.
An excellent hostel to stay at when you are in Marrakech. I must say that it is an incredible Riad with all the services working perfectly. The rooms have air conditioning, warm water, and good beds. There are also some really great facilities in the hotel: a swimming pool, a rooftop terrace and a bar (which serves alcohol :)). The service was excellent and deserves a 5 star rating. It is also located in a good area, which is not overly centric, but close to everything that you might need.
Great budget hotel in the heart of the action. Great shared rooftop terrace, simple and clean rooms, central location, located on one of the Main Street entrances to the Medina so easy to find and always felt safe.
In addition staff including Mustapha and Joauad are what truly make this place amazing as they are kind and super helpful. They always take the time to answer questions, provide lots of great suggestions and really care that their guests have a great experience in Marrakesh.
Hotel is all inclusive, there are great variations of food and drinks. Hotel is practically new 5 years old. There is free shuttle bus to Medina. Its safe and good atmosphere for family. Personal at hotel is great and helpfull. I like Zakaria from reception very profeasional and Smiley who is amusing people is also great.
Also my check out was at 12 , they offer me to stay until i need to go on flight. It was great experience. I will come back one day.
very disappointed I have booked the hotel Atlas asni and it was close ….
we have been transferred to other property which was very dirty …
the room was disgusting…
the staff were very unprofessional
they have as wait more then 20 minutes to get the information from the other hotel
the room was nothing like 5 star
the breakfast below the expectations
the management of this hotel need to wake-up
Staff was very nice and polite, always greeting.
Cleaning for our room was the best 👌
Breakfast staff also amazing and even reception staff. Overall service was 5 stars!
The hotel restaurant also amazing, really well presented and cooked food.
Breakfast was also great! Rooms comfortable, nice walk in showers.
Location was perfect, amazing restaurants just around the corner.
There are many great hotel in Marrakech but the Movenpick"s service stands in a class of thier own.
A special thank you to Lahcen and Nezha for going beyond the expected services of a 5 star Hotel.
Management, thank you for hiring such a wonderful staff and making this vacation unforgettable at the same time making us feel like family in your hotel and country.
The hotel is beautiful but the staff is incredible!! Rashid and all the staff were amazing with us, prepared every morning a delicious breakfast, helped us with everything, explained where to go and what to know.
For sure I would go back and be in the same Riad.
Thank you Rashid and all the people working there! You made a great experience of Morocco for us.
Staff very helpful and friendly. The location is right in the Medina. Being so it’s small and cramp and only one window, little ventilation. But the whole Medina is foul air due to all the mopeds and smoking. If you have asthma or allergy issues avoid Marrakesh in particular and Morocco as a whole.
The location is great. The hotel is in the old Medina and close to main attractions. The staff were incredibly kind. We especially loved the decorations of the rooms. It gave us a unique modern Moroccon vibe. I definitely recommend staying in this hotel. It is cheap when compared to its real worth.
Breakfast was Good.
Rooms very noisy
There is no door between the sleeping part of the room and the entrance of the room -people in the corridor can be heard all night long.
This is a hotel for mainstream tour operator guests.
In no way a 5 star hotel.
loved the raid, was beautiful, beautifully placed in the old medina, nice and peaceful, the room was like something out of a 5 star hotel, as was the bed. amazing value. and the owner couldn’t of been a nicer guy. made me super comfortable and at easy.
